About Jordan Brandman…
A graduate of public schools and the University of
California at Irvine, Jordan is passionate about
ensuring that our schools provide the highest-quality
education to all our students. While in college, Jordan
was a classroom instructor for the Advancement Via
Individual Determination (AVID) Program at a local
high school.
Jordan is currently a Director for his family’s
Environmental Planning and Consulting Firm, Michael
Brandman Associates (MBA). In this position, Jordan
is involved in the development of both private and
public projects around the county and state.

Before rejoining MBA, Jordan was the Director of
Workforce Development for the Orange County
Business Council (OCBC). In this position, Jordan is
responsible for designing and implementing strategies
and programs that help to develop a 21st century
workforce that meets Orange County's long-term
employment needs.
Before joining OCBC, Jordan served in Sacramento
for over three years and was highly involved in the
development of significant, long-term policy issues
that benefited all of California’s people and families.
From 2002-2004, he served as a policy advisor in the
Governor's Office of the Secretary for Education. In
this position, Jordan advised the Governor and
Secretary on various education policy issues including
high school reform, education technology, career
technical education and workforce development,
school facilities, after-school programs, accountability
and assessment, and child care/school readiness.
From 2004-2006, Jordan served as Legislative Aide to
Assemblymember Tom Umberg. In this position, he
advised and staffed Mr. Umberg on various policy
issues including education, local government, and
transportation.
Jordan is the proud son of Michael and Mara
Brandman and brother of Jason, Joshua, Jacob, and
Jedidiah. Jordan looks forward to starting a family in
Anaheim and having his children attend Anaheim
Public Schools.
